Finally ALL caught up!

I decided to update for each holiday instead of making it one big post...so scroll down for Thanksgiving, Fo's bday, Christmas, and New Years...Here is what has been going on the last few weeks...We had Heather's first tournament/ birthday and we decided to make shirts...they turned out sooooo cute! Everyone loved them! But I only took pics of Little Richard's though...

We went to Olive Garden to celebrate after her tournament...

We had a garage sale at my grandma's house which turned into a family affair...it was way fun and we made quite a bit of money!

Forrest started a new job, working with Richard doing termites and he loves it...

I helped Calli babysit Lindsey, Hunter, Hyrum and Little Richard last week and we made a scavenger hunt for them...they had so much fun with it! It was cute to watch them read each clue and then run to the next spot once they figured out where it was.

We are doing great and cannot believe that it is already February! 18 more days and then it's our two year anniversary! Crazy huh?? We love our ward and just got callings...I am on the enrichment committee and Forrest is the eleven year old scout leader. We are enjoying our new apt and I am still couponing and am enjoying my newest project of cooking freezer meals with my cousin/friend Dawna...seriously we struck gold and it is the best idea that we have ever had! They are soooo good and easy and cheap and we love them...So anyway, hope you are all doing well and i will hopefully update again soon! :)

New Years Eve/ Calli's birthday

We had a fun New Years Eve...we went out to Casa Grande and celebrated Calli's birthday at a place called Eva's. It has HUGE burritos and they are delicious! We then went to see Sherlock Holmes with them and it was really fun! After that we went to my dad's and set off fireworks and just hung out...it was fun. We had Calli's family party that Sunday and the kids had a blast helping aunt Calli open her presents! :)

We had a great Christmas! We started out with the Rogers Christmas Eve dinner...very fun night and such a fun tradition! These pictures are not in order but they tell the story...crazy and exciting present opening at the Leavitt's...the kids were soooo excited!

We got my dad a Ladmo bag for Christmas. He loved the show as a kid and talks about it all the time. Wallace and Ladmo came to town before Christmas and so Shalice went and got my dad the bag...he loved it!!!

So December was a busy month...It started out with Forrest's birthday on the eighth...We went to dinner with my dad and sharon and the kids at Logan's...

Then we threw Forrest a SURPRISE birthday party out at the ranch and it was so fun! I am so grateful for family that will help me throw my hubby a great birthday because he is so great...It was such a fun night...

My mom and Andi made his cake and they really had fun making it...it was hilarious...

Hello! So I am going to do an update for each of the major holidays that I have missed the last few months...So here we go with Thanksgiving-It was a great Turkey day and it started out at the Leavitt's we stayed the night so that we could just be out there and be able to help that morning...we had a great day with them and all of the Leavitt extended family...

We then went to my mom's side of the family and had thanksgiving dinner at my aunt kristy's house...Then we DID BLACK FRIDAY! We got so many great deals and had a blast...this was our last stop of the day...Shepler's. We got there a little early but it was worth it...

I cannot believe that it is already almost Thanksgiving! I love this time of year- the weather, hanging with family and school breaks!!! :) We are doing well, I have a lot to update on and you probably don't care about these old pictures but I am going to update anyway...these first ones are from the beginning of October-conference weekend to be exact. Calli and Richard invited us over for breakfast and it was yummy!

I did some canning...peaches and green chilies!!! yummy!

We threw Andi a birthday party...she turned THIRTEEN!!! She had her friends over and we went to a store called bath junkie where the girls got to make their own bath salts, lotions, and sprays. It was super fun and they loved it!This is her with some of the girls and her favorite gift that she got, her Justin Bieber perfume. It was so funny watching her open it- she was sooooo excited.

We threw Sharon a surprise birthday party this year and that was fun too! She had noooo idea! Here is Andi keeping watch for Sharon to come home...

We stayed at the Leavitt's and watched their house while they were in Illinois. The Gurrs came over and Calli made us a yummy dinner!

We also moved to a new apartment and we love it! It is in a nice neighborhood and the ward seems really great. This was the contraption that Calli and Heather came up with to make moving easier. I am not really sure how effective it was, but it was funny!!!

Little Richard had thrown up earlier in the day, that's why he doesn't have a shirt on..

We watched Lindsey, Hunter and Hyrum last week and we took them on a bike ride...They had a blast and we did too. It was fun and totally cute watching them ride and follow uncle fofo...

And cute little Hyrum loved it too!

We went to the ASU vs. Uof A game on Saturday and had fun, even though they lost and it was a terrible game, I was disappointed in my devils...

New Look!

Hi!

Well as you can tell, I updated my blog with new pictures! Well actually they aren't new pictures, they were taken a year and a half ago on February 20, 2010...the funnest and happiest day of my life, but they are new to my blog...I finally got a CD of all of my pics from my photographer and I couldn't decide which pictures to put up so I had to put up a lot of them! I love these pictures, I think that they turned out so well and that they really captured how we were feeling that day-pure bliss! Well I hope you like them! :) P.s. Forrest is hunting so that might explain why I am reminiscing...haha...i miss him...but i know that he is having a blast and needed the vacation with the boys...so i am going to have some fun with my girls! (Shalice, Andi, Sheleen, Heather, Caitlin, Dawna...) you get the idea...I have a lot of fun girls to hang out with! Well everything else is going well, hope you are doing well too! bye...

So my title of this post is pretty self explanatory...We went to the Biltmore this weekend with my dad and Sharon for some R and R and had a blast...It was so nice hanging by the pool drinking my Shirley Temple reading a magazine :) They were great to invite us and we had a great time!

Quick Update!

Hello friends!
I just had a quick update and wanted to share before the busy weekend. As some of you may know I have recently (within the last few months) started to coupon. At first I had no idea what I was doing and I still don't know a lot but I am getting a handle on it and have found some pretty good deals sometimes. I just wanted to share my shopping trip this week because it was really exciting! So first on Wednesday night I went to Fry's and found some deals on shaving cream, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner...I spent total $12.33 and got all of this! And I saved $71.39...So if you need shaving cream I will share, Forrest doesn't shave everyday so he will not go through this for a very long time! :)

Then on Thursday I went back to Fry's and got the things that weren't in stock on Wednesday...Here was my receipt- 100% savings!!! I got five GUM toothbruses for kids that I will be giving to my niece and nephews and I got six things of hair gel for Forrest and Heather if she wants it...Couponing is fun...if you are interested or already coupon and want a friend let me know!! :)

Friday was spent at Heather's volleyball tournament...fun day with Little Richard and Calli and Sheleen!

P.S. We found these cupcakes at a cupcake shop in Chandler and they were soooo yummy!!! Fun field trip between games :) Yes, we are closet cupcake eaters!

Busy Busy Weekend!!!

Hi friends!

So I just wanted to blog about our weekend that we had-it was so incredibly busy and tiring but so totally fun! Starting on Friday we drove up to Potato Lake for our ward campout. I didn't take any pictures unfortunately but we had a good time getting to know some of our ward members better. We really like the ward that we are in. We left super early Saturday morning to get home and get ready for the temple for Heidi and Randy Coplen's sealing. I am so happy that we made it to the sealing because it was the sweetest most special thing I have ever seen. It truly testified to me that families can be together forever. I loved it! We then went to the ranch for little richard's birthday and had a PARTAY! He was so cute and he loved the party and all of his toys. He is so cute! I need to thank Calli and Meagan for letting me use their kids in like all of my posts because I don't have kids but I take pictures of them and blog about them like they are my kids! :) It's just so easy because they are so cute!

Love these kids!!! Then on Sunday we talked in our ward and I was so nervous but it turned out pretty good I think. It was a good weekend!

Hi Everyone! See I told you it would not take me that long to update again from my last post! :) I just wanted to put these pics up of my entertainment center and my cute husband and our ADORABLE nephew...I am back at ASU again finishing up my teaching degree after taking a year off and that started last week. It is keeping me busy but it's not too bad, remind me that I said that around finals ok??? We also got callings in our ward and I am...the sunbeams teacher! haha yep me...wish me luck! :) Forrest is a ward missionary again, he is happy though, he likes being a missionary. Everything else is great-we speak on Sunday so I guess not everything is great but I will be ok-I hope! I am really scared...I will let you know how it goes. So after weeks of waiting on the edge of your seats I am sure, here is my entertainment center doors finished nad the pillow that I sewed all by myself, can't you tell? :)

We got to play with little richard on monday when calli did my hair and cut forrest's and he was so much fun! Forrest and him got along great though and they played for a while and little richard could not stop laughing it was soooo cute!

He can walk! I t is the cutest thing to watch him just pick right up and walk...he falls a lot though

I wanted to update the blog but I really don't have anything to say...this last week was busy!!! I don't start school until the end of August so I have a couple of more weeks off before I have no life. I have been spending a lot of time with family and friends...getting projects done and just hanging out! Dawna, Calli, Meagan, Sheleen and all of their little ones have been my buddies and it has been fun. I did get a chance to make some doors for my entertainment center. They turned out really cute and I will post a picture of them and the matching pillow soon...i promise! Hope you are all doing well (the three of you that read this) :) Happy thursday! p.s. i love forrest, he is the best husband ever!

Wrapping up July!!!

These last few weeks have been really crazy but really fun...I will start with the talent show at camp on the last day..Our group is the self contained autistic group and we have an absolute blast at camp. This year we chose to do superheros as our theme...I wish I could show you pictures of the campers because they looked SOOOO cute but I can't because of privacy laws but I can show you a picture of some of the staff dressed up, they look pretty good huh??? That is my brother on the right as two face from batman and then the joker is in the middle and then wolverine on the left.

Now on to something completely different, we got to babysit our nephew Richard while Calli and Richard went to a movie and we had so much fun watching him! We went to my dad and Sharon's and went swimming with him and everyone had a blast! This is him before we put his swimsuit on him, we had just gone to funeral and so he was all dressed up and looked so cute!

The next fun set of pictures that I have are from our family trip up to snowflake with the Leavitt's...We went for the pioneer day celebration and it was so fun! Here is everyone at the parade on Saturday morning...

We had a fun time at the parade and the rodeo that night! I love this next picture... It is my birthday on July 24th (Pioneer day) which made it all the more fun to go to Snowflake because everyone was celebrating my birthday :) But that morning rthe kids came into the trailer and climbed right up to our bed and jumped on me and started telling me happy birthday-it was so cute! I climbed down a little bit later but they stayed and played with uncle forrest and i laid on the bottom bunk and they kept saying hi...it was cute...then we had breakfast and celebrated my birthday with the leavitt's, i got the cutest purse from them!!! :)

Then later that night we went to my mom's house for dinner with my family and celebrated my birthday with them...that was fun...THEN this post is just going on and on and on and ....just kidding...sorry but a lot happened! :)

The next day we left to California to stay in a condo on the beach with my dad and sharon and the kids...it was a blast!!!! Here is a recap:

Monday: Drove up and went to the beach, walked down to the pier later that night, and the boys went on some rides...

Then we celebrated my birthday again with this family...I am telling you we celebrated A LOT! :)

Thursday: Padres vs. Diamondbacks game, Old Town San Diego and the Mormon Battalion

We found someone in the battation with the same last name and they had his gun there on display...it was really cool, that memorial is really neat, if you have the chance to go you totally should!

Summer Lovin'

This summer is going so well and we are having so much fun swimming and hanging with the family...We have kept SUPER busy but we like it that way, always something to do...Well these pictures are from my cousin Taylor's birthday. She turned sixteen and had her party on June 12...We had to be very creative and use what resources we had...We ended up not spending any money on decor at all and it was all stuff we had from our houses and shalice's bedroom...haha

the party turned out fun and taylor had a great time. They wanted it to be a club theme and they had the UFC fight on so the kids watched the fight, danced and ate and they loved it.

These next pictures are of the kids on moving day with the Leavitt's. We all went and helped them move to the ranch and the kids pretended that they were in a train, it was cute.

These pictures are for Joleen...She is the one that got me in to couponing and it has been pretty fun saving money and getting things almost free or free...I don't want to be one of those crazy couponers but I do want to build a little stockpile for forrest and I of necessities. When you can get razors and body wash for a quarter, I am now going to buy five, not fifty, but enough to last for a while...

We took Lindsey and Hunter to see Cars 2 last weekend and it was so cute! We loved it...they came and stayed the night after and we had such a fun time...the only thing that would have made it better is if Butch and Rocky could have been there too! :)

We also went to the coke factory and tried the sixteen different flavors of soda from around the world...it was pretty cool! some were really yummy...some tasted like bleach yuck!!!

And to round off my EXTREMELY LONG post, i will share this yummy sight with you...my wonderful mother-in-law and sister-in -laws taught me how to make apple pie from scratch and peach jam today...it was REALLY fun and now i have jam coming out my ears! :) and the pie was SO GOOD!!!!

Well I think that I have the sweetest husband in the world... I came home the other day and the washer was running and the dryer was going and ALL of my laundry was done! He had gotten off of work early and went home and decided to do laundry for me. The trash was taken out too! It was really sweet and he said that he just wanted to do something nice for me :) I love him!

So I know that it has been a very long time since I posted and I am sorry about that...But things are going well around here...busy but happy! I always feel that I need to have pictures to do a post because no one wants to read me just rambling on...so here are some pictures of some things that have gone on in the last few months...we had our FIRST YEAR ANNIVERSARY on February 20th and it was very exciting!!!! I made us a special dinner and ran around the house collecting things to make our table cute to reflect our life together...I know it looks silly but it was fun...our cake didn't even taste that bad!!!

I love Forrest so much and I cannot believe how fast this year flew by...We definately have had a lot of happy and great things happen for us but there were also some rough patches and trials to get through but we have done them together and it made it all that much easier...Being married to him is the best thing EVER and I cannot imagine my life being any better :)

I also want to give a shout out to my brother Daylon, he turned sixteen and so we went and celebrated at Logan's with him. He is such a sweatheart...

We are doing well and happy. We have a lot of things happening and changing in the next couple months...and we can't wait! We loved conference this weekend and really felt the spirit. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God and I love to hear him speak. I love this church and know it is true without a shadow of a doubt...

thoughtful Christmas present

Well I know that Christmas was a while ago and I am late on this post but I just wanted to write about my sweet husband. So for Christmas Forrest and I decided that we weren't going to get each other very much because we were going to Disneyland and we wanted to save our money for that...But we gave each other a limit and went looking for the perfect gifts...So when it gets time to open each other's gifts we are so excited and can't wait! Forrest is seriously like a little kid when it comes to opening presents...he loves to open presents and it does not matter who they are for or what they are...Well when I opened my present I was surprised to see a Carhart jacket! Haha it was really sweet...When we went hunting with his family, I jokingly said that I wasn't part of the family because I was the only one without a carhart...everyone was talking about how great they are and warm and how I had to get one. Forrest remembered that and now I have one too! I know you are probably thinking I am a dork for writing this but I had to! :)

So a lot has been going on lately...my sister-in-law Joleen had her adorable baby boy last week!!! I got to be there again and it was really neat. Her and James were so nice to let me be a part of their special day...the baby is so cute and his brothers love him. I love being an aunt...I inherited all of these awesome kids when I married Forrest and it has been so fun getting to know them better...I love when they call me Aunt Arianna or when Hunter and Rocky call me nana...it is so cute. And they seriously LOVE their Uncle Fofo...he is so great with them...

They make us laugh all the time and do some pretty funny stuff. I get in trouble some times for laughing too much at them when they do naughty things but I can't help it! I have given everyone permission to laugh at my kids when they are naughty...

i don't have any pictures of the new baby Duke yet...but I will!!! :)

So it has been forever I know and this post is going to be super long because of that...(sorry in advance)...I was looking through my pictures to see what to put up and I have a million and some of them are really old so enjoy! :) Some date back to November-ish

So these first ones are of my cousin Stephen coming home from his mission...we made shirts and looked awesome!

I made our stockings this year with the help of my mother-in-law and sister-in-law...it was fun...long and hard because I had never used a sewing machine before but I think that they turned out great for my first project and will provide us with memories forever...

Our first Christmas tree...My dad and Sharon let us use their fake tree this year and we were really grateful for that...

New Years Eve...we went to Forrest's parents and watched them light fireworks with the kids...they loved it! It was so fun to see the kids having such a good time

For Christmas my dad and sharon gave us a disneyland trip...it was such a blast...there was no one at the parks and we got on every ride super fast...it did rain though one of the days but if you wear a rain poncho then you're good! New Blog Post...OH MY!!!!

So...I am working on a really great and detailed post of the last four months of our lives and it has been really hard! It will be done soon but I just thought I would say hi to all of you (even though I see most of you regularly) :) But I also wanted to change my background and thought I should put a quick note in here...So as of right now- Forrest is hunting and I am staying at my dad's house because I am too big of a wimp to stay by myself and so let me tell you it has been a rough few days...not because of my family...they have been great, but it is hard moving out with a husband and living in your own cute little condo for nine months and then suddenly feel abandoned and have to go running back to dad....I miss Forrest...I am pathetic...IT HAS ONLY BEEN THREE DAYS! I know all of you are probably laughing at me but this is the longest that we have spent apart from each other and I am sad...This has been the subject of my facebook status and pretty much all I have been talking about to people...LAME I tell you! I just wish I was not such a big baby...I am sure my family wishes that of me too...But I know that Forrest is having a great time and is able to help out his brother on his hunt...I also knew going into this marriage that this was how it was going to be...so I just need to deal and get over myself and know that I will see him soon...I mean I went two years without seeing him right??? :) I can handle a week...So please don't think I am a total loser for writing this and thanks for letting me talk...this might be my new therapy...haha ya right...I need therapy more than once every four months! While I am at it...I guess I could talk about my job for a minute...I am working at a junior high with kids that have behavior problems and let me tell you it is by far the hardest thing I have ever done...but I am learning so much and starting to enjoy myself more and more. And my teacher is great...she really knows her stuff and helps me like crazy...so that I don't go crazy! But part of my job is to take notes about what goes on in the classroom and that has actually been very therapeutic for me...My teacher was actually the one that pointed that out after she read my notes...I write novels about everything that happens and she loves to read them because she has no idea that half of that stuff that I wrote about went on...If I am really having a hard time with something that a student said or did I write all about it and then I can go back later and I always end up laughing at what I wrote and what happened...Because it was usually pretty crazy and it always surprises me the things that I go through in this job...I don't really have much else to talk about right now...I am really tired and need to go to sleep...(in my little sister's bed no less) she is at my mom's and generously allowed me the pleasure or sleeping in her room. I love my family...both old and new...I have a really great relationship with my sisters and brother and parents and I am forming really neat bonds with my new leavitt family too! They are really neat people and I feel really lucky to know them and to be in their family now...Well I will write more later...I am seriously tired now...I am going to regret whatever I wrote when I read it tomorrow, because it will sound super stupid...haha oh well!!! :)

Well my birthday was this weekend, Saturday July 24th and it was a fun one! It started out on Wednesday when we had my family dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (where else??) :) It was delicious as always and I had a good time with my family both old and new...

My dad threw me a party on Friday night and it was a blast! He wouldn't tell me what we were doing until the day of and it ended up being really fun...We went to the Dbacks game and sat in the All You Can Eat Suite. It was way cool and everybody loved it!

Andi and I got matching shirts...

I had lots of my favorite people there...

They had hotdogs, chips, soda, popcorn...it was way cool...

My dad and Sharon came up with a fun competition for us...Whoever ate the most hotdogs, a boy and a girl, would win a subway 25 dollar giftcard...guess who won???

It was a very fantastic night...loved it!

The next day was my birthday and I had a great day...we went shopping at the mall with forrest, shalice, daylon and andi and then met my dad for lunch. Later that night we went to my friend Caitlin's birthday party...Her and I were born on the same day and this year she had her party the night of the 24th. We went to a restaurant with all of her family called Trader Vic's in Scottsdale. It was really fun and the atmosphere was so cool!

The next day was Sunday and we had family dinner at my grandma's house. I had the idea to celebrate my cousin Stephen's birthday because he is on his mission and his birthday is four days after mine. I had brought a tape recorder and I recorded family conversations, singing happy birthday to he and I, and we all gave our own personal message. It was really fun! We took some pictures to send to him...We are all really proud of him and we love him so much! You are the best Elder Chapman :)

My little sister Andi is obsessed with all of the cake shows on T.V. and loves to bake. She is so cute, well her and my mom made my birthday cake on Sunday and it was so yummy and totally adorable! This was seriously one of the best birthdays ever and I love that I got to spend it with so many special people. I am seriously lucky! :)

Dbacks game, fireworks and Vegas Baby!

So we went to the diamondbacks game on Saturday night with my fam and some friends and let me tell you it was a TERRIBLE game, but they had fireworks! But you had to stay for the entire game to see the fireworks, so we were pretty bummed because of all games that we would have left early from, this was the one we couldn't. These were the final stats for the game...not good...not good at all

The fireworks were really fun though...

The next day we were off to Las Vegas! We got to our hotel (Planet Hollywood) pretty early and we weren't able to check in quite yet and so we looked around the mall in the hotel and then went and got some lunch at the famous hot dog place called Pink's. It was fun to go there and see all of the celebrity memorabilia and who likes to eat there...

We also went to the M&M factory, Coke factory and saw a Beetle's tribute band show. It was pretty fun...we knew most of the songs and we even got moved up front row seats...

Later that day we went to the Bellagio and saw the fountains, and then headed to Margaritaville for dinner. We were seated upstairs right next to the window and it was perfect because there were fireworks shot off on top of Caesars Palace.

The next day we went to Paris and had crepes for breakfast...Yummy!

We went shopping at Caesars Palace, hung out at the pool, and then went to Fremont Street...

We also made tye dye shirts prior to going to Vegas and thought they turned out pretty good :)

We wanted to get those gigantic cups that everyone always carries around Vegas but needed to find a place that would put soda in them instead of alcohol...We finally found a place and the guy laughed at us when we asked for sprite and coke in the cups...it was pretty funny...We liked carrying the drinks around and we had plenty to share! :)

I look like I had something besides coke in my cup...this is not a good picture of me...We found the coolest candy shop called the Sugar Factory. It has yummy shakes and ice cream and the coolest couture lolli pops. They are designed by celebrities and are so delicious and so blinged out.

We also hit up New York New York to play at the arcade and eat lunch there. Later that night we went to the Venetian to see the Blue Man Group. They were so GOOD! They were hilarious and had some good skits and special effects. It was totally fun and we couldn't believe we hadn't seen it sooner.

The entire time that we were there, I wanted to go and get a frozen hot chocolate from the shop called Serendipity. It was so so so YUMMY but gigantic...I definately shared with everyone and we loved it!

We had a really fun trip and did lots of awesome things...Thanks dad and sharon for inviting us and thanks for reading this EXTRA large blog post...haha I will post again soon!

VEGAS!

So this fourth of july weekend....my husband (hehe i have a husband!), sister, friend of my sister, dad and stepmom are going to the one place where you can step up and be a man....and no it is not community college but rather it is LAS VEGAS! Anyone seen "What Happens in Vegas"? It's like one of our fav movies and that was a quote from it...Anyway...we have lots and lots of plans and we can't wait to go...we are staying at Planet Hollywood and are super excited about that and all of our festivities...i will def update when we get back...oh and my baby sister andi just left this morning for washington d.c. for an entire week by herself! it was for a leadership conference called people to people and they get to tour washington d.c. and all of the famous landmarks and i am so jealous! My mom, shalice and i took her to the airport this morning...we told her she better bring us back albert einstein bobbleheads from the smithsonian :)

Tim and Utah!!!

So the Tim Mcgraw concert was Amazing and we LOVED it! He sang all of our fav. songs and it was way fun!

We went to Utah this last Thursday with Calli and Richard and it was really fun. We went with them because Richard had a missionary companion come home and we went to listen to his homecoming talk. We drove up on Thursday and went to the dunes first off. The boys were super excited to go and lets just say that I wasn't the biggest fan of all of the jumps and hills and all that fun stuff...but I tried it and now I can say that I have been to the dunes.

We went to Salt Lake on Friday and went to the temple and toured temple square. I have been to Salt Lake before but I have never been able to go in the temple until this trip. That temple seriously lives up to everything that people say about it. It was absolutely beautiful inside and it is truly a work of some very special pioneers.

It is amazing to me that they were able to do what they did in that temple with what they had to work with. I have always been amazed with the pioneers and all that they had to endure and what they accomplished. They were some magnificent men and women that loved our Savior so much that they came so far to have religious freedom in Utah. I was born on July 24th and so I have always had a special place for Utah and pioneers and have loved learning about them. We went to the tabernacle and the beehive house and the conference center and the Joseph Smith Memorial building. It was my favorite day of the trip and so fun to be there with my friends and husband. :) While we were at the Joseph Smith memorial building we stopped by a pretty cool restaurant and decided to eat there...ever heard of The Roof Restaurant?!?!? SO DELICIOUS! It was a blast getting to eat there because I have always heard about it and seen it in movies but never been there...it was the best restaurant I have ever been to and it was so fun!

On Saturday we went to the town where the elder was from and it was called Mount Pleasant. It was a very small but very adorable place and it was about 20 miles from the Manti Temple. We were able to go to the Manti Temple and do sealings and that was another wonderful experience. That temple was also very beautiful and we got to see the spiral staircases that they have there. There are two staircases, one that goes clockwise and one that goes counter-clockwise and they each make I think they said five complete circles leading up to the top of the temple. They were so tall and so beautiful! We loved this temple and had a great time in the town the rest of the weekend. We are grateful to Calli and Richard for inviting us and putting up with us :) We had a blast and loved Utah!

I am a total loser because I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the picture at the top of my blog small enough to fit! If you have visited my blog in the last few days you will have seen an extremely large picture of Forrest and I at Disneyland and I am sorry about that...So if any of you can help me out and explain how to make the picture smaller, I am all ears! I figured out how to add buttons, and pictures on the side and I know how to change the background...but this little picture problem is really driving me crazy! P.S. We are going to a concert tonight...with my sister Shalice and forrest's sister Heather...Any idea who we are seeing??? :) I am SO EXCITED! I love Tim Mcgraw, he is my favorite country singer and this will be mine and Shalice's FIFTH time seeing him...I will post about this amazing concert tomorrow!

So this month has been absolutely crazy and really full but SUPER FUN! We had so much going on : taylor's dance concert...which i will put on here if i can figure out how to put a video on my blog...we went to our bff's house (calli and richard) and forrest and richard poured concrete for a porch...

My little sister Andi had her last softball game

mother's day at my grandma's house...playing a little red rover and football...

my sister shalice graduated from HIGH SCHOOL! Oh my...we still cannot believe it...i knew that she would graduate but i cannot believe that she is that old! And holy crap was graduation LONG AND BORING! But we had fun cheering for everyone that we knew and spending time with all of my fam...

And this last weekend was fun, Forrest and I went to IKEA and found some furniture for a good deal and came home and assembled it...man they sure make IKEA furniture assembly EASY! That was really nice because we had picked out two end tables and a coffee table and we were able to get them all put together in like 20 minutes flat! Not sure if that is a good thing or not but oh well, they look nice...Later that night, Joleen, James, Butch and Rocky came to see us and the boys had a blast on our stairs...who knew that stairs could be so much fun? It was fun to have them over and to play with the boys...they are so cute! I had put a candy dish that i got to keep from my grandma after she had died on my new coffee table trying to be all cute and stuff and after the boys had left there was not one piece of chocolate left in that dish...it was hilarious...rocky wouldn't share at first but then he would hand out the candy to everyone, he is so funny... We also went swimming at my dad's this past week and it was really fun...they just put up tv's in the backyard and that was awesome to be able to lay out while watching shalice's and my fav housewives of new jersey...haha we are dorks..no idea why we watch that but it is entertaining! My dad and Daylon have this golf thing that you can use in the pool and we were playing with that and Daylon was being Happy Gilmore...it was entertaining to say the least!

Also this month, we helped cut up buffalo meat...that was a new experience for me :) We have been working a lot on our new calling as ward missionaries...it is really fun getting to go out with the missionaries and teach...I also got to have a girl's night with the Leavitt ladies while all of the boys were at fathers and sons, we went to a movie and the mall and sat by the pool and got pedicures...we had a good time...Well I think that this update has been long enough...

Shalice's Surprise PARTAY!!!

So...a long time ago about two weeks ago...haha i crack myself up...anybody know what i am quoting??? no?? tough crowd...well anyway...shalice turned 18 on march 27th... and for a few weeks before that i was bugging her and bugging her and asking her what she was going to do for a party and she just kept telling me that she had no idea...well it got to be the monday before her big day and she still had no plans and she was feeling pretty down on herself because her bday was the same day as the young women general broadcast... and if she did have a party it would have to be later on at night and that friday, the red mountain baseball team that she is the sports med trainer for had a game at four and so she couldn't have it until later on that night...and blah blah blah...are you catching on??? she wasn't planning on a party and was going to spend her weekend moping around...well andi and i being the awesome sisters that we are :) decided to throw shalice a surprise party! She has always said that she wanted a surprise party and we thought that her 18th bday would be a perfect day to fill that desire...so we got to planning...i contacted all the girlies that were on shalice's original bday list that she decided that she didn't need, and they were all for the idea and then it was on to just planning what we were going to do and eat that night and we were good...we had the party at my condo and i really thought that it was going to be a piece of cake, the throwing of this surprise party...well i was in for a ~~few~~ TON of surprises of my own...

So to start out...Friday after work, Shalice and I went to lunch and had a grand time just the two of us...i nonchalantly brought up our hang out that was to take place later on that night and we decided we would go see a movie and go get something to eat...we decided that she would call me when she got home from baseball and we would figure out how to get her to my condo...WELL....

Around three that afternoon I get a phone call from my sis and she has some terrible news...she says " the other team hasn't even shown up yet and so there is no way we can start at four, coach just said we are moving the game to seven"...WHAT?!?!? I immediately call my mom to see what we are going to do about this dilemna-we toy with the idea of doing it the next day, the next weekend, and we finally decide to call the coach to see what he can do for us...my mom went to the school to find out the coach's phone number and nobody was there except the athletic trainer TM...my mom talked to her and told her our issue and she was totally cool with what we needed....so, my dad and sharon went and picked shalice up from the game all the way at brophy...everyone showed up to our condo and we got ready ready...when my dad picked up shalice she was totally confused and she was asking questions and all they told her was that she had to go with them...they showed up at our place and sharon told her to come up and get me, she did and this is what she found!

It turned out perfect! We ate dinner and hung out for a little while, opened presents and then went to the drive in movies...it was really fun and she was totally surprised...it was a successful night :)

Easter was really great this year...we started the day off with our own easter baskets in the morning...the easter bunny brought me a stinkin' cute purse and a movie...forrest got cologne, a shirt and some shorts...

we then headed over to buck and meagan's house for breakfast-waffles with strawberries and whipped cream...yummy!

Hunter LOVED his waffles...it was so cute!

Lindsey showed us her eggs that she colored and then we watched the morning session of general conference...forrest decided that he wanted his hair to look crazy that morning...

After conference forrest and i went over to his parent's house and calli and i boiled eggs to make deviled eggs...they turned out pretty delish if you ask me :) We then went to my mom's house and watched the second session of conference and then ate dinner, had an easter egg hunt AND...played in the third annual wiffleball tournament in the fam...here are the team breakdowns...

Andi was our team captain and we had my grandma, forrest, me, aunt kristy, and dad...

The "others" were sharon, brian, daylon, tessa, jesse, shalice and makenna is in the front. They ended up winning 3 to 2...closest game yet...it was really fun...i love my fam...they are awesome. we had a great day and spent it with some awesome people...hope you all had a great easter too :)

Spring Break....

So last week was my spring break and it was a good week... I got a lot done and spent time with a lot of fun people....We went to the PBR on the first Saturday of break with my dad and sharon and the kids, it was one of Daylon's Christmas presents...it was really fun! We had been before but this time was really fun...

then Forrest and I had our talks in sacrament that Sunday and that was SCARY! I did not sleep well the night before and was worried all day because I had stressed myself out so bad...I don't know how we did...people say it was good but i'm not sure...

Monday-i went grocery shopping and we went to Forrest's grandpa's birthday party...he is such a sweet man, he has been a great "extra" grandpa to me so far...he says the funniest and nicest things to me...Andi spent the night with us and we watched a movie and hung out...she is so cute...

Tuesday-Andi and I went and returned some duplicate gifts that we had received, and got yogurt...Calli and Richard came over for dinner and I made Pork Barbacoa...it was SOOOO YUMMY!

Wednesday- I organized a TON that day and cleaned and then went hunting for a t.v. stand with some awesome bff's Anna and Ashley...You girls are awesome! We went to like a bazillion different places and then went out to lunch...it was a good day...We then went to the mall and Forrest met us at there and we got him some new outfits...(he needed them) :)

Thursday- I went to the temple with Forrest's mom, Meagan, and Calli..it was a really neat experience and it was a good day...i really loved it...they are some awesome ladies and i am really lucky to be able to be in their family now! :) We then went out to lunch at Cafe Rio (YUM!!!) Heather, Shalice and Andi spent the night that night and I made stroganoff for dinner and we watched a movie and hung out and laughed a lot!

Friday- The power went out in the entire apt. complex for a few hours because of some work that was being done on the street...it was annoying because it was in the morning and i needed to get ready and i had a lot planned but couldn't do any of it because i didn't have power! so i went to my dad's and had to shower and hang out and then went out to lunch with Caitlin ...it was really nice to talk with her...then Forrest and I went to dinner with Calli and Richard to where else? Serranos! (Richard's fav) it was his bday dinner...then we ate ICE CREAM CAKE! :)

Saturday- Forrest and Richard went to pick up a couch from Forrest's cousin Tracy...she is super nice and gave it to us...they brought it back, set it up, and then we went to filibertos...i have only been there once, but they insisted that we eat there for lunch and it was pretty good...then Forrest and I went to get a t.v. stand and it is super cute! After that we went to Calli and Richard's house and ate dinner and watched a movie...

Sunday-Church, then we went to my dad's house for dinner and came home and hung up some pictures on the walls...

I wish that Spring Break was longer, but it was a good one....

Another Random Update...

So this post is a random one full of fun things that we have done the past week or so...The first picture is the first dinner I made: Spaggetti, Salad...(you know the drill) I have yet to become super creative in the cooking department and I feel really bad for Forrest because his mom is a great cook and well I am learning...But in my defense Forrest LOVES spaggetti and so he actually requested it for our forst dinner and luckily it was one that I could cook easily...I was given a ton of cookbooks for my wedding and I need to use them...I am excited to use them...

PS...did you notice the ADORABLE kitchen table that Forrest is sitting at? Diane Holyoak made it for us for a wedding present! She said that she had a table to get rid of and she wanted to paint it red and distress it and I said SIGN ME UP! I love it! The chairs were her fun idea and we were surprised when the table was delivered to see every chair a different color but it is such a fun idea and I absolutely love the table! Next, we have pics of us at Tonto Natural Bridge. Our friend Mike asked us to double with him so that he could take this girl out and of course we were totally excited and it was a really fun date...The fun hikes that take you right to the bridge and under it and all over the rocks were closed though so that was a bummer...so we could only go to the observation decks, but that is ok...we still had fun...Then...we had my brother Daylon's 15th birthday dinner at Texas Roadhouse and that was yummy! He ate a whole rack of ribs and you can tell that he enjoyed them :) I really wish that I could figure out how to embed the pics within my posts and not have them all stack at the top...I am an idiot! So don't laugh too hard at me when looking at these posts...and the last thing I want to highlight was the family bday party that we had at my mom's house for my mom, daylon, and my cousins makenna and tessa...they all had birthdays within a week of each other and so we celebrated and had a blast! I love my family...Well I have some major homework to do...oh and one more thing...We have been in the ward for two weeks and guess who is speaking this Sunday???? Oh ya...Forrest and I....I am freaking out! The last talk I gave in sacrament was on Father's day when I was like 14! :(

We Are Married!!!!! Honeymoon Pics...

So the past two weeks have been so fun and so stressful and so tiring all at the same time! We left to California the day after we got married and had a BLAST there...we went to Disneyland on Monday, Universal Studios on Tuesday and then back to Disneyland and California Adventure on Wednesday and then came home on Thursday! It was awesome...I love Disneyland and have wanted to go there on my honeymoon for forever so it was seriously so fun and I made Forrest wear one of those pins that said "just married" and believe me he loved it! jk...but he made the best of it because he saw other "manly men" as he called them wearing them so it was ok that he wore one. We went on all of our favorite rides and the lines were so stinkin' short that we were walking on most every ride...the longest wait we had was Peter Pan...haha...so that was awesome and then we went to Universal Studios and I had been there before twice, but Forrest had never been so it was fun showing him around the park and taking him on the rides...we went on the backlot studio tour first and that is seriously my FAV! I love all of the behind the scenes stuff in movies and TV and they tell you so many fun facts and you get to see so much while they take you around the whole backlot. We went everywhere else that day and some rides we did twice..it was the best!One of the cool things about the studio tour is that they take you behind the scenes of different movies and TV shows...I love Desperate Housewives and they take you to the set! How cool is that?!?! Also they took us to the crash scene from War of the Worlds...I am learning how to upload pics so sorry about how they are posted on here but atleast you get to see pics right??? :) Well it was a blast and I will be posting more pics on another post...I think I reached my max on this post...haha so enjoy and stay tuned!

EIGHT days......

I have eight days left until I am a MARRIED woman! Haha this is soooooo weird! But I am super excited and I am just ready to be done with all of the planning and stressing and see my final project...I am so excited to see everything come to life at the reception and I cannot wait to wear my dress and GO TO CALIFORNIA!!!! (that is where we are going on our honeymoon) magic mountain, universal studios, and last but certainly not least....DISNEYLAND! my fav place on THE PLANET! So we got a lot done this week, we got our marriage license...haha that was fun getting to raise my right hand and promise that my name and social security number was correct and that we weren't related...we got his tux, found outfits for the bridesmaids, did a BUNCH of HW...and packed up some of my bedroom...that was weird too...having to start putting all of my belongings into boxes and going through my whole life deciding what I needed to keep and what to get rid of...being engaged is AWESOME! but i can't wait to be married! and oh ya...i talked to dawna for a while this week...that was nice too :)

Stressed to the MAX!!!!

So...I am writing this when I should be getting ready for bed and getting homework done and folding my laundry and packing up more of my room but I felt that I needed to update on our lives lately...Well we have 300 HOURS till we get married...haha i just counted it up...i did this the other day at work when i was working with a student and he was reading to me and i was just supposed to be listening to him and well i got a little bored...but i am getting really excited to be married and everything is finally becoming real. I had my final dress fitting, our announcements are out, we found a place to live and blah blah blah...but i am grateful for my helpful family and forrest's family as well for all that they have done for us these past weeks...i will update again soon :)

Our Story! (Really Long DETAILED story!) :)

So Forrest and I met in high school...(junior year to be exact) in seminary. I had been friends with his sister Calli since sophomore year but never knew they were related...they never talked about each other...well anyway the first day back to school junior year, I head to seminary and there is a guy sitting on the fence waiting to walk over to seminary. I thought he was kinda cute but didn't say anything for a few days and finally I said hi to him...He said his name was Forrest and he was a junior also and he played football and wrestled and he was just a funny guy...So after that we walked to seminary together every day and became friends....Well a few months into the school year, Calli and I were eating lunch one day and she says something about her brother Forrest and how she was going to his football game that night. I stopped her right there and asked her about him. She had never mentioned a brother, and especially never mentioned that his name was Forrest and that he played football and was a junior. So naturally I ask what hour seminary he has and she has no idea, so I tell her about a guy in my class and I describe him to her and she says that it could be him but she wasn't sure...so I went to class that day and asked Forrest if he had a sister named Calli and what do ya know...he did! So after being friends with both of them I find out that they were related! It was funny...So then probably a few weeks after that, me and my friend Alana wanted to go to the movies with some people in our seminary class and so we all planned it and Forrest wanted to go too...so we decided on a movie and it ended up being just Alana, Forrest and I, and I had invited Calli but she had a volleyball tournament that weekend...so we went and had a great time...well that Monday Calli came up to me and says, " So I heard you went on a date with my brother this weekend." And naturally I freaked and said, "it wasn't a date, we planned for a whole bunch of people to go but nobody could." And at the time I had a little crush on him but nothing major...he was just my friend and that was that...Well what Calli said next is something that I will never let her live down for the rest of our lives....She says, "oh ok, well you can't date my brother because that would just be weird!" And my response to her was, "oh ya...I would never date him, he is just my friend." HAHAHA Ya right... I still give her a hard time about it...So anyway a year goes on and we are still friends and Calli and I become closer friends and her and her husband now but he was her boyfriend then, Richard and Forrest would invite me on a lot of activities with them and it was always really fun to spend time with all of them but it was really helping out me and Forrest to get to know each other better. Well around November-ish of our senior year, Forrest texted me one day out of the blue and said hi and this led to us texting like all the time for about a month...until he realized that texting wasn't on his plan and his dad got the LARGE phone bill from that month...but during that time we would talk about all kinds of things and he would call me on his way home from wrestling practice and we would just talk all the time...and I really started liking him big time...So now fast forward to end of January-ish and Sadies was coming up in February. I was in student council and so I was required to go to all of the dances and Sadies was no exception...I really wanted to ask Forrest but after Calli's warning I was afraid...but I came up with a plan and told Calli that she should ask her boyfriend Richard because he was leaving on his mission soon and I would ask Forrest so that we all could go together...she said that was a great idea and so we went and it was a BLAST! We went to the dance dressed as the flintstones and we looked awesome! :) So then a month later, we went to the girls bball game at Jobing.com arena and everything changed! So Richard was driving and then it was Calli in the passengers seat and me and Forrest and my cousin/friend Dawna in the backseat and on the way to the game, Forrest grabbed my hand!!! I could not believe it...I freaked out and didn't want anyone to see it but they did and the worst part was that nobody said anything about it! Calli just looked at me and smiled and would talk to Dawna but nobody said anything to me...haha so then on our way home from the game, Forrest kissed me in the back of the excursion and I almost died...so from that night on, we were dating.....his best friend Richard left in April on his mission to Minnesota and then Forrest got his call in June to...yep...Minnesota! They were called to the same mission, they never served together but they got to see each other a lot at different conferences and stuff...so that was really cool getting pics and letters from both of them and seeing that they were loving their missions...Calli and I wrote them every week and sent them packages and pictures and all kinds of things for two years straight! Calli and I became really close over those years and we really helped each other through a lot...I am so glad that we had that time to bond and become even closer bff's because now we are going to be sisters!!!! :) So anyway, Forrest came home in August 2009 and I was so excited but freaking out at the same time...He came home on a Monday and he promised that he would come over to my house and see me before the party that was being thrown for him that night...Calli called me like 20 times to tell me how things were going after he got home and then he called me! He promised that he would be coming over that night and so ALL DAY I sat and freaked out about when he was coming over...He finally showed up and as soon as I opened the door, he said hi and I said hi and then he gave me a hug and then kissed me...we hadn't seen each other in two years and he kisses me in the first two minutes of seeing me...I mean I didn't mind, but I was a little shocked! haha it was awesome...so ya...we have dated since he got home in August and then we got engaged on New Years Eve! It has been awesome having him home and getting to know each other better and dating and doing all kinds of fun things...I can't wait to marry him and spend forever with him! So that is our story and it was really fun writing it all out and remembering everything again...hope you enjoyed it! :)

I decided that we should have a blog since everyone else has one. I know we aren't married yet but I wanted to create this blog to allow all of our friends and family to get to know us a little bit better and to be able to get information for our wedding.
